Hare (Monster Rancher)

Hare, first introduced in Monster Rancher 1, is a famous and widely available rabbit monster. Obvious characteristics are their large fists and cute expressions. They are friendly and highly intelligent, but are known to be selfish, especially when it comes to food. They specialize in high attack power and speed. Hare attack styles revolve around boxing, kicking, and even flatulence. They have appeared in every game installation to date except Monster Rancher Advance and Monster Farm Travel. Despite their popularity, they seem to create relatively drab sub-types. They appear most commonly as brown humanoid hares with light tan mouths and torsos, dark brown hair, and white foot claws. Since Monster Rancher 3, they have been depicted with brown tufts of fur around their neck like a scarf, and since Monster Rancher 4, they have black foot claws and the white portion of their torso is smaller than in previous games. Hare was voted most popular monster on February 28, 2002 in an official Tecmo poll. When it appears in Monster Farm Online and Monster Farm Lagoon, there is a way to unlock a special version of Hare called Muhattohamu who wears a red scarf just like Hare in the anime series.
