Zatanna Zatara, a skilled magician and the daughter of the legendary magician Giovanni Zatara, takes center stage in this DC superhero series. After witnessing her father's murder at the hands of an unknown assailant, Zatanna has dedicated her life to fighting crime and using her magical powers to protect the innocent. Throughout the first season, Zatanna battles a series of villains from the DC universe, including the sorceress Enchantress, the demon Etrigan, and the villainous organization H.I.V.E. Along the way, she teams up with other DC heroes such as Batman, Superman, and Constantine to take down her enemies. As the season progresses, Zatanna must also confront personal demons and family secrets that threaten to unravel her world and everything she stands for. She grapples with the legacy of her father and the weight of his expectations, as well as the possibility that his killer may still be out there, waiting to strike again.
