Superman is the paragon, the decisive and selfless boyscout who can always be counted on to do the right thing. He sometimes relies more on his feelings and in-the-moment thinking, and his image and immense power may lead him to self-doubt. But Clark is nonetheless an effective leader who serves as a moral "center" in the sense of what a true hero should be.
