Synopsis

The story follows two G.I. JOE MEMBERS, Duke and Flint, the latter who joins the G.I. Joe Team, along with Ripcord after being attacked by Military Armaments Research Syndicate (M.A.R.S.) troops. Alternate Real Life Production: During development of the film, Stephen Sommers decided to step down from his position as director and gave it to Zack Snyder, Stephen Sommers would still contribute to the film as a producer. With Zack Snyder as Director, he did some changes in the film and Examples being with Duke being already part of the G.I. Joe Team and portrayed as a battled hardened soldier and the role of the newcomer given to Flint, portrayed by Jensen Ackles, and the Neo Vipers and Cobra Viper Commandos portrayed as Combat androids.

Description of Duke (Conrad Duke Hauser):

Conrad Duke Hauser is a battle hardened commander of the G.I. Joe team who rescues Flint and Ripcord from Cobra Viper Commandos in the Desert Ambush. When Flint and Ripcord choose to be part of the Joes, Duke would mentor them both and would have a brotherly relation with Flint, the latter also losing the people close to him. Duke has ensured Flint is successful and when Flint gets captured, it's up to Duke to save him. Duke, along with Flint, serve as one of the two main protagonists in Zack Snyder's G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra.

  • ultracarterzilla Channing Tatum was originally considered for the role of Duke who's portrayed as a newcomer to the G.I. Joe Team until when Zack Snyder was chosen to be director after Stephen Sommers left the Directional role, Duke was changed to him already being part of the G.I. Joe Team and a battled Hardened Soldier. Christian Bale was instead given the role for Duke as Zack Snyder believed he would fit for a battled hardened soldier who's been through a lot.

  • ultracarterzilla It's revealed in a interview with Zack Snyder that the reason he casted Christian Bale for the role of Duke Hauser is because Bale's Terminator Salvation co-star, Sam Worthington, suggested Christian Bale for the role.

  • ultracarterzilla Interestingly enough, Christian Bale was initially hesitant to have the role until his Daughter convinced him to take the role and Christian Bale eventually did.
