Ancient games serve as magic ceremonies to foretell the fortunes of men and kings and even to change a person's fate. Such ceremonies were known as Shadow Games. In the present, a certain youth solves the Millennium Puzzle, and becomes heir to the Shadow Game. This boy, who possesses two hearts — one of light and one of darkness — was known to men as "Yu-Gi-Oh!"
