On Lusitania, Ender found a world where humans, pequeninos, and the hive queen could all live together. Or so he thought. Lusitania also harbors de Descolada, a virus that kills all humans it infects, but which the pequeninos need in order to become adult. The Starways Congress fears it so much that they're willing to destroy the whole planet.
