Synopsis

The plot follows Warren the angel who seeks to recover one of his wings he then turns to Nathaniel Essex who experiments with mutants, the institute receives new mutants and to prevent the chaos that Essex plans a nation of dominant mutants, it is up to the X-Men to prevent this plan in order not to tarnish the public image of mutants. Mid credits scene: Jean wakes up from a nightmare in which her powers take over, killing all of her friends. Scott asks what's wrong, to which she simply replies, "I'm sure it's nothing, go back to sleep." Post credits scene: We travel through the desert until we meet a mutant named Mésmero who says that the time has come for his master to rise and purify the world and the temple has an engraved word "Apocalypse".

  • otsutsuki The X-Men are beginning to adapt to their new home in Westchester, New York, growing in population and popularity as time goes on - with new members Iceman, Bishop, Forge and Jubilee joining the team. An increase of mutant disappearances across the world begins to lead Xavier down a fearful path, recruiting Hank and Forge to build him a device that can be used to track down mutants; “Cerebro”. With Xavier busy in Cerebro, Scott takes up a pseudo-leader position. Jean continues to struggle with her powers, turning to Kitty and Rogue to help her keep them at bay. Bobby Drake begins to believe that he doesn’t get the respect he deserves after a mysterious voice in his head tells him that he has more potential than the others give him credit for. During Gambit's encounter with his old friend Warren a mutant who has angel wings but ended up having one of the wings lost while trying to save his father from Magneto's attacks in the last movie, leading Gambit to suggest that Warren visit a man named Nathaniel Essex, who he heard from is a geneticist who can "cure" mutants Warren travel to Essex’ lab in Liverpool, England, where he is deceived and is arrested. Warren meets fellow mutants that have been taken prisoner - Blink, Dazzler, Sunspot and Warpath. Gambit realizes that Warren is missing and turns to Professor X to use his brain to find him but without hesitation, the X-Men turn to Logan who says he knows a mutant who can track other mutants the Caliban. Warren meets Essex himself, a former homosapien who was gifted his mutant abilities by the Hellfire Club. Essex completely transforms Warren, giving him metal wings and a metal exoskeleton. Essex insists that this is all part of a larger purpose, forcing Warren to comply. After days of surgery, Warren is no more, now there is only The Archangel. Caliban is then unable to track Warren, meanwhile Essex captures Wanda with lust in her powers, forcing Mystique and Quicksilver to free Magneto from his plastic prison. Charles splits the X-Men into two teams, Team A led by Scott and consisting of Gambit, Rogue, Jubilee, Kitty Pryde and Iceman, to go after information from Essex and Warren, while Team B is led by Jean and consists of Logan. now under the codename Wolverine, Beast, Bishop, Storm and nightcrawler to prevent Erik's escape
