X-Men: Anathema

Setting: mid-1990s. This Tetrology would serve as a reboot for the X-Men franchise as a whole, with each installment dealing with mature themes and content, and as such they would each likely have an R rating. This would be the second installment, called 'X-Men: Anathema'. After the fallout of Magneto and Charles Xavier's seemingly irreparable parting of ways, the tensions between mutant-human relations is at an all time high. Anti-mutant legislation is already being passed by individual states, and now an Anti-mutant Senator, Robert Kelly, endorsed by the popular and inflamatory Reverend Bill Streiker, now threatens to pass the Mutant Registration Act should he be elected. As Magneto builds his forces to strike at the heart of the American government, Charles must find a way to quell the anti-mutant sentiments plaguing the country, while simultaneously ensuring Magneto doesn't escalate the situation into open war.
