Mutants have always existed — and the world has never known what to do with them. Years after a failed era of mutant activism and the collapse of a powerful underground team known as the Brotherhood, fear rises again. Now, a new generation steps forward: Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Angel, and Iceman — the first students of Charles Xavier, trained to protect a world that’s still afraid of what they represent. When the government revives the long-abandoned Sentinel Program, led by military scientist Bolivar Trask, these five young X-Men must go public for the first time. Backed by Senator Kelly and Agent Valerie Cooper, Trask's machines are positioned as protection — but they bring only panic, violence, and escalation. As mutant paranoia spreads and their very existence is put on trial, the X-Men must decide who they are, and who they want to be — before the world defines them as enemies.
