Amara is introduced as one of the surviving New Mutants, discovered by the X-Men during the final stages of the Sentinel War. Though young and still mastering her incredible powers, she proves herself in battle by destroying Sentinel foundries and collapsing underground machine tunnels with torrents of molten earth. Logan sees in Amara the same spark of hope he once saw in Laura. Her courage reminds the older generation that mutantkind's future isn't defined only by those they've lost, but by the new heroes rising to protect what's left.
