Synopsis

Mutants have arrived in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and are cast by actors mainly who are not already stars because of other Big Screen roles so have the opportunity to make the roles their own (which by large is the MCU way).

Description of Magneto:

The Holocaust storyline is no longer viable (Magneto would have to be around 100) so a different Origin will be used maybe the Civil Rights movement , Rwandan Genocide or one of the many Asian Atrocities (Burma etc).
