In X-Men (1993), tensions between humans and mutants reach a breaking point as Senator Kelly and industrialist Bolivar Trask unveil the Sentinel program—giant autonomous robots designed to identify and detain mutants. After a destructive incident involving teenager Jubilee, she crosses paths with Logan, a mysterious drifter with a violent past. When the mutant nightclub “The Void” is raided by Purifiers and a Sentinel, the X-Men intervene, rescuing Jubilee and Logan. Charles Xavier takes Jubilee under his wing, while Logan reluctantly begins to bond with the team. Meanwhile, Magneto—haunted by his past and driven by extremist ideals—launches a plan to reshape society with the help of his Brotherhood of Mutants. As Jubilee’s powers grow, Magneto abducts her, believing she’s key to a device that could amplify mutant energy across the globe. With time running out, the X-Men mount a full-scale assault on Trask’s repurposed Sentinel facility, now overtaken by Magneto’s forces. In a brutal final battle, each member faces their counterpart, culminating in Logan confronting Magneto and Jubilee reclaiming control of her powers. Magneto is defeated, and Jubilee, now more confident in herself, finds her place among the X-Men. The film closes on a hopeful note, with Logan choosing to stay and protect the next generation, while the threat of mutant oppression still lingers on the horizon.
