X-Men are mutants, humans who, as a result of a sudden evolutionary leap, were born with latent superhuman abilities, which usually manifest themselves at puberty. Consequently in space, in their stories, several ordinary men have an intense fear and/or distrust of mutants, which are seen by scientists in general as the new step of human evolution. Therefore, many consider them a threat to human society itself, a fact intensified by mutants who use their powers for criminal purposes.
