(Played by Lou Ferrigno, Jr. in Stargirl). Rex Tyler was a chemist and the member of the Justice Society of America known as Hourman. With the use of his chemistry skills, Rex was able to develop an hourglass that gave him powers for one hour. Rex was the father of Rick Tyler and the wife of Wendi Tyler. Both Rex and Wendi were killed in a car crash by Solomon Grundy, a member of the Injustice Society of America, when Rick was young.
