Description of Lara (Earth-96):
(Appears only in the Superman Returns tie-in comics and modeled after Susannah York, who played the character in the 1978 Superman movie). Lara was the wife of Jor-El and mother of Kal-El. Lara and Jor-El sent their son away when their planet Krypton was dying.
