In our timeline, the Soviet Union collapsed under its own weight in 1989 bringing an end to the Cold War. In this timeline, it didn't. Instead, in an alternate 1989, in a last-ditch effort to save itself, the Soviet Union thunders over the Fulda Gap sparking World War 3. After making rapid gains in Western Europe, the Soviets falter after a concentrated push by NATO forces grinds the war down to a stalemate. Desperate to regain the initiative, the Soviets invade the Western Seaboard of the United States taking Seattle and the surrounding countryside. Enter First Lieutenant Parker: a soldier coming back from the intense fighting in Europe.
