  • castingmaestro Diana Prince is known as many things: a soldier, an amazon, but most know her as Wonder Woman. Years ago she served in WWII alongside the man she loved, Steve Trevor. In the war she witnessed many horrific acts including Steve’s violent death. The war left her with severe PTSD and recently the flashbacks have gotten worse than ever. She visits Queen Hippolyta for guidance and the queen explains that PTSD is supposed to be impossible in Amazons and the only way it could be happening is if Ares is tampering with Diana’s mind. To end this inner turmoil once and for all, Diana must follow the warriors path to Ares’s prison in Germany.
  • castingmaestro On her journey, she has many PTSD episodes and visions of Steve. She travels through a poor village where she buys some bread for a little girl who couldn’t afford it. The girl invites Diana to have dinner with her family. At dinner Diana learns that the village and surrounding villages have been being attacked by a chemical terrorist who calls herself “Doctor Poison.” That night, Diana makes quick work of Doctor Poison’s weapons and destroys her HQ, however Doctor Poison herself gets away. On the rest of Diana’s journey, she is constantly fighting monsters and Doctor Poison who decided to follow her with a small army and a thirst for revenge.
  • castingmaestro She finally defeats Doctor Poison and finds Ares’s underground prison. Diana enters the dark prison that has nothing but a large statue of Ares. The statue’s eyes begin to glow and Diana blacks out. Suddenly she is in a field she fought on during the war and Ares stands in front of her in full armor. He explains that he isn’t the reason she has PTSD, it’s Queen Hippolyta’s fault. To ensure that the Amazons will always want to return to Themyscira, the queen puts a spell on the amazons that makes it so the longer they are away from Themyscira, the less of a connection they have to the old gods and the powers that come with that connection.
  • castingmaestro In simple terms, the longer Diana is away from Themyscira, the more human she will become. Diana has been becoming weaker and losing her powers. Eventually she will become completely human and die like one too. That being said, Ares takes this as a chance to escape his prison. He battles Diana and puts up a good fight but Diana wins. When she wins, she wakes back up. She returns to Themyscira and uses the lasso of truth on the queen to confirm what Ares told her. After remembering what Steve taught her about what it means to be human, Diana decides to accept her fate and live outside of Themyscira.
  • castingmaestro End Credit Scene: Lex Luthor pays a visit to Doctor Poison and offers her a spot on a team he’s putting together.
