In 1943, Diana Prince leaves her idyllic home on Paradise Island alongside Steve Trevor, an American pilot whose crash landing brought him into her care and her heart. Believing that the war ravaging the world is the work of Ares, the god of war, Diana joins the fight against the Axis powers. As they venture into the chaos of World War II, they encounter the Justice Society—a group of extraordinary heroes including Hawkman, Green Lantern, Wildcat, Hourman, The Flash, and Vixen, whom Steve Trevor has also recruited. Together, they uncover Ares' plan to instigate global conflict and ignite the War of the Gods, aiming to subjugate humanity under his reign.
