In August 1945, the brothers are being held in a Japanese prisoners of war camp near Nagasaki.A couple years later Major William Stryker approaches Victor in jail telling him he knows about his special abilities and has followed him since his Howling Commandos days, but he thought there were two brothers to which Victor responds that James wasn't born for that, so Stryker offers him membership in a team he was putting together which would be Team X. The team consists of mutants Lady Deathstrike, John Wraith, 20 years later James, having changed his name to Logan, wakes up from a nightmare and is calmed down by his girlfriend Kayla.
