1585. A twenty-year-old grammar school teacher from Stratford-upon-Avon comes to London searching for fortune. His name is William Shakespeare. He knows little Latin and even less Greek, but he knows he has skills nobody has.
Meanwhile, the 17-year-old Richard Burbage, son of the greatest London impresario, dreams of becoming an actor, being a leading star in the dream his father contributed to create. And everyone agrees: he is good.
