As the synopsis says, Roger Rabbit is now an old forgotten star. Animation had not been great since the golden age and Roger tried winning over modern audiences in the past 60 years, but every single one of them flopped. He finds a computer that transforms him into a 3D animated cartoon and he's back to fame and glory, but this new rendition came with some dangerous side effects.
