Synopsis

Wary of growing extraterrestrial threats, Val decides to add sentient weapons to her hand of cards. She discreetly fakes Hayward's death and has him released from prison. He and Yelena recruit some of his former S.W.O.R.D. team, Dr. Helen Cho, Phineas Mason, William Ginter Riva, and Dr. Myron MacLain. Without vibranium, they bond Cho's synthetic tissue with MacLain's adamantium, combining it with Chitauri, Ultron Sentry, and Dark Elf tech as well as the confiscated Stark A.I.s E.D.I.T.H., T.A.D.A.S.H.I., and J.O.C.A.S.T.A., all stolen from Damage Control Deep Storage. They bring the synthezoids to life by siphoning residual energy from items affected by Scarlet Witch's Mind Stone enhanced Chaos Magic.

Description of Dr. Helen Cho:

Inventor of synthetic tissue, later found to be capable of being bonded with metal in the printing of synthezoid bodies using her Regeneration Cradle, originally designed for human medical use and reconstructive surgery. Despite her reservations over working with criminals such as Hayward, Mason, and Riva, Yelena convinced her to help make more synthezoids to safeguard Earth for her son's future.
