The newest non-foreign spin-off of Doctor Who: The Time Meddlers was definitely something very different than done before. It was a sitcom that was to utilize the newly rebooted BBC Three and aimed at young adult audiences. It was mostly a BBC venture as Paramount had little interest in the series outside of a small contribution of budget. The series starred a range of comedy actors, playing mostly new characters to the Doctor Who universe. The main star was Jo Brand as The Monk after her debut of the character in The Daleks' Master Plan. The main storyline involved The Monk getting joined by various time meddlers to cause hijinks in Earth's history for the fun it. The entire show was shot at WhoStudios’ Lambert Centre in front of a live studio audience. There was not title sequence just a title card with the show title and creator, who was Ronald D. Moore, who also wrote the pilot. However, the rest of the series was written by Steven Moffat, returning to the franchise after leaving it as showrunner in the late 1990s. Each episode was to focus on a character while the pilot set up everyone. As well as each episode taking place in the Monk's TARDIS and then the location wherever they were going to cause hijinks. The episode are: Incursio Britannica, Yakety Sax, Mincemeat, Axe Fight, Regency Night Fever, and Vienna.
