Story Plot

During the gap between Doctor Who: Endgame and Doctor Who: Genesis, Ira Steven Behr wanted to create a Doctor Who-esque series that would revolve around the idea of going to different places and seeing events unfold, but without the use of The Doctor and their TARDIS. So, the anthology series Cold Front was created to fill in the gap of no Doctor Who on television. It would consist of 5 episodes for each season. The episodes this season consists of Rivals, Occupation, Aftermath, Downfall, and Obey. [Each episode synopsis will be in the comments below.]

  • Rivals - It’s six weeks before the 2005 General Election, and current Prime Minister, Alfred Lawson, is struggling to gain the support he needs to secure another victory for the Labour Party. While he fights for control over his country, he also fights, on a deeper level, for control over his own body.
  • Occupation - In 3381, Exotract 1, the first major s p a c e station, was constructed by the Bellonsions – as a result in 3382, they made first contact with the Poplne – and then in 3383, they were invaded. Now 30 years on, one young woman must fight as the odds are repeatedly thrown against her.
  • Aftermath - Cordale has become the High Governor of Gallifrey since the invasion. She has been given a merciless task, to occupy a planet so hell bent against their captors. Not only does she have to keep them in order, but she also must begin the ascension of the population. Is she up to the job?
  • Downfall - Four years ago, Katherine Tollinger vanished – Donald Harcourt’s most vivid love. Now it’s 1917 and there’s a war on. However, through all the fighting, Harcourt still can’t let Katherine leave his mind, and the circu-mstances of her disappearance plague him. Donald Harcourt must know the truth, no matter the cost.
  • Obey - The Isop galaxy has gone through turmoil over the past few hundred years. After the war, the planets have become baron wastelands, and that's just the lucky ones. But they're all surviving, things are getting better, stations are being rebuilt. But there's a power vacuum, and an outsider is trying to take hold of the galaxy for his own personal gain. You will obey him. You WILL obey him.
