In a world where people are sometimes born with super powers these people are called the gifted but some people don’t like them and call them vermin. If you even have powers you will be imprisoned to try to get rid of the powers in a life threatening surgery or killed the main character Ethan Arlott is a gifted and is trying to show the world that people like himself aren’t inherently evil. The way he tries to do this is to become a super hero and help people but things don’t go as planned
