Story Plot

In this MCU origin movie, Professor X takes a deep dive into James Howlett's fractured mind and tries to reconnect the pieces while also seeking to understand the man sent to assassinate him. The film will play with time and dip back & forth between the present and difference phases of James' life up until he joins the Weapon Plus program. It's half therapy session and half action/adventure film.

    In the climax of the movie Charles & James travel back to deepest section of his mind and witness the moment that sent James on a lifelong bloody spiral; the day his mutant powers manifested and he murdered his parents. When the weight of this harsh reminder hits him, James lashes out and tries to atone by killing himself subconsciously and turn himself into a vegetable. After Charles is able to subdue him he reassures James that he's not a monster and offers him a chance to join the X-Men to truly move forward; an offer James declines due to a deep need to tie up loose ends. Charles reluctantly accepts, frees James from the cell that he was being held in and bids him farewell for now. Just as he's about to leave, James turns back and asks Charles for Victor Creed's location. In the mid credits stinger, Drs. Truett Hudson & Abraham Cornelius run into a room labeled "The Director" and inform a shadowy figure that Weapon X's tracker signal has gone silent; upon hearing this the man grins and says "Now the game begins...". In the post credits stinger; we see a woman angrily watching footage of James fighting and whispers “You don’t deserve those gifts you coward…” before turning away from the screen and addressing a group of cyborgs saying “Let’s take back what he stole”
