In a future where metahumans are extinct, an aging and weary Bruce Wayne cares for an aging and frail Martian Manhunter. All is peaceful until Terry McGinnis, a clone boy created from Bruce's DNA, appears. Wayne returns as Batman to protect Terry from Hugo Strange, his creator.
