In February 2025, Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures agreed to share the production and distribution costs to develop the project for the reboot of Assassin's Creed films, after 9 years of cancellation stated that Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. are looking to turn the film into a franchise, since it is based on "successful Ubisoft games and would make an ideal holding company, from which it licenses the rights to produce Assassin's Creed films, both in released and scheduled to be released as well as premiered in theaters and box office around the world. Assassin's Creed Cinematic Universe have set in the same universe as the video games but features an original story that expands the series' mythology.
