A series of political missteps have left the post-Cold War United States on the cusp of anarchy & lawlessness, amidst resource shortages, international tension, and clandestine feuds within the government. Marine Corps veteran Max Coleman finds herself returning to civilian life in a confusing & unprecedented state of the world. Max finds her calling in the vast deserts of the Southwest. A backdrop of a formerly thriving nation is contrasted by unsanctioned bloody conflict between opportunistic thugs & hired guns. After a lucky break is quickly cut short, Max has to crawl her way up from square one, leaving a legacy that at times blurred the lines between defense contractor, kingpin of organized crime, and domestic terrorist.
