In a Gotham City haunted by fear and Halloween decay, retired billionaire Bruce Wayne is forced back into the Batsuit when his ward, Dick Grayson, is driven mad by the fear-obsessed Dr. Jonathan Crane (Scarecrow). As Batman investigates, he uncovers a web of terror linking Crane to the tragic disappearance of scientist Kirk Langstrom, who has been horrifically transformed into the monstrous Man-Bat. With Grayson’s sanity, Langstrom’s humanity, and his own demons on the line, Batman must confront the true nature of fear—and the monsters it creates—in a desperate race to stop Crane’s reign of terror before Gotham is consumed by chaos.
