Vanta was never meant to be a hero. After a catastrophic experiment involving a mysterious energy known as the Void, an ordinary man is transformed into something far beyond human. His body becomes capable of manipulating living darkness, granting him incredible strength, speed, regeneration, and the ability to shape the Void into weapons and armor. But every time he uses his powers, he loses another piece of himself—his memories, his identity, and eventually his humanity. As a secret organization begins hunting him down to reclaim their failed experiment, Vanta discovers the horrifying truth: he was only the first successful subject. His creator, Dr. Adrian Vale, has developed a second, more powerful being known as Null, designed to eliminate Vanta and complete the experiment. Forced to confront the monster he was created to become, Vanta must choose between saving the city and preserving the last fragments of his own identity. In the end, he defeats Null—but at a devastating cost. Vanta survives, yet he can no longer remember who he is. All he knows is that somewhere in the darkness, there are still people who need to be saved.
