Welcome to Salem, Massachusetts, where things are not always what they seem. After both of their parents die, Madison lives with her older brother, Garrison, who lands a job in Salem, Massachusetts, leaving no other choice but to pack up their things and move on with their past lives. An online search for a job leads Madison nowhere, so she decides to scope out her new immemorial town for any job opportunities, and comes across an old fashioned toy store, run by seven mysterious teenage store employees and one older man, who hire her on the spot. Madison must return to high school, which isn’t as easy either when you have no friends, and you’re sort of an outcast. Still, knowing things aren’t all that they seem, she must learn to blend in and discover why mysterious happenings start to occur around her and her brother, but what she doesn’t know might kill her.
