  • Plot: Valhalla, the realm of fallen heroes, is invaded by Odin and the Aesir gods. The goddess Freyja, one of Odin's daughters and the queen of the mighty Valkyrie warriors, realizes that her father is after the Helheim Portal Key and that he intends to release Helheim's monsters so they can wreak havoc on the world in order for him to rebuild it in his image. Giving the key to her half-sister, Arianna, Freyja immediately crowns her as the new queen, saying "It is now your time to lead our sisters and save all realms and protect both the living and the dead, my friend, my sister, my protector..... My queen!", before banishing both herself and the Aesir from Valhalla. Landing from a free fall on Midgard, Odin chastises Freyja for disdaining him and those loyal to his cause; he offers to spare her and the other Valkyries in exchange for the key, but Freyja refuses and instead sacrifices herself by sealing her soul in Helheim, causing a barrier to form around it and preventing all Aesir from entering the realm, forcing Odin to retreat with the other gods to Asgard.
  • Thousands of years later, Arianna's rule over the Valkyries and Valhalla has thrived; however, she has become increasingly uneasy over the rumors that Freyja has died. One day, she learns that while Freyja is still alive, she is legally dead, and realizes that she must rescue her from Helheim. Recruiting the three highest-ranked Valkyries, Gudrun, Brúnhilde, and Thrudd, the latter being the daughter of Thor and Sif, Arianna and the others depart for Midgard, and they meet humans Percy and Kyle, who agree to help them. Meanwhile, Odin sends his son Baldur to Valhalla; he then steals the key despite it being kept under high security, and then delivers it to his father. He then sends Baldur to hunt the Valkyries.
  • Arianna consults jötunn Surtr and his wife Sinmara about Odin, knowing that the Allfather has the key. Surtr agrees to provide them the way to Helheim's entrance, and Sinmara reluctantly bestows them a map that leads to the location of Freyr, Freyja's brother. Arriving in Svartalfheim, they find Freyr helping the dwarves build a large town. Arianna convinces Freyr to help them get to Helheim after she reveals to him that she is only legally dead. Realizing that Tyr, the god of war, is also needed, Freyr leads the Valkyries to a prison in Jötunnheim, the land of the giants, where the heroic god is located. Tyr refuses to help at first, saying "What do you want, Arianna? My men are dead because of cowardice staying my blade from the Allfather! I won't live in this horrific nightmare every day.... Not anymore!", but he relents after realizing that Freyja is still alive when Arianna shows him her magical whip, and he agrees to go with them.
  • Finally arriving at the entrance to Helheim, they enter the realm of the dead and, after a long battle against countless creatures, including the giant wolf Garm, they reach Freyja's body and her soul, the latter trapped in a draugr warrior; Arianna kills the draugr and returns Freyja to her body, before making an emotional vow to always be there for her whether she wakes up or not, before kssing her on her forehead and expressing her sisterly love for her. Freyja awakens, and she tearfully embraces Arianna and the others. Odin's wife Frigg defects and joins the Valkyries on their new mission to retrieve the key.
  • Frigg reveals that she cast a spell on Baldur that prevents him from dying, but at the cost of feeling air, cold, or even heat and pain. They arrive at Hekla, the volcano famously known as the Gates of Helheim and the only place where the key can be used. Baldur engages them and easily wins the fight, but Frigg reverses her spell on her son, though she loses her life in the process after he stabs her, though before drawing her last breath, she assures him that she loves him, still viewing Baldur as her son. As Frigg's body disintegrates, a spell-reversed Baldur begins attacking Arianna and Freyja, initially overpowering then, but after using a magic seal the key back in Valhalla, they turn the tide of the battle. Arianna and Freyja then destroy both Baldur and Hekla with Frigg's magical spear. Back in Valhalla, the key is secured once again, while Odin swears vengeance for his son's death. Gudrun and Percy begin dating, while Brúnhilde and Kyle develop an attraction. Freyja chooses to let Arianna stay as the queen of the Valkyries, stating that she has earned the title. Before the end credits roll, Arianna names Freyja as her advisor and Freyr and Tyr as her generals, and then delivers a speech to the Valkyrie army, declaring war against the Aesir gods for their crimes against Valhalla and humanity.
