Young athlete Lizzie moves to a new town and tries to join the local baseball team, but finds that they’re unwilling to accept her because they don’t think she plays well enough to be on the team. Except that is for one boy named James, who encourages her to keep trying. He takes her out to the field everyday to practice and play until she finally applies again. She finds herself rejected once more due to the stubbornness of the team captain. James and the rest of the team stand up for her and all of them resign from the team, forming their own team.
