Years ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Jim "Buckshot" O'Riley, a tough, quick-witted smuggler from Earth, finds himself living out the golden days of the Prohibition-era smuggling business on Earth on an intergalactic scale. Armed with a shotgun and a drum gun (before eventually upgrading to blasters), Buckshot stumbles upon a unique vessel: a smaller, heavily armored AT-Hauler ship named Vic, powered by a sarcastic, sentient Brain Module. Together, they form an unlikely partnership, skirting around Imperial laws, engaging in wild and dangerous missions, and building a name as notorious smugglers. But the calculating Grand Moff Titus Korr has his sights set on them, and they soon find themselves in the crosshairs of New Imperial forces across the galaxy.
