They are half-Mexican and half-Salvadorian born in El Paso, Texas. They live in Dallas, Texas. Dwayne Johnson is a football coach. Sofia Vergara plays a single recently divorced mom two of teens. Her Ex-Husband is played by Jaime Camil. Xolo Mariduena plays a student in high school that has played soccer all his life but wants to play football.
