Synopsis

Fuelled by remorse and vengeance, a college student dropout named Scott Carson revives The Dark Knight. Under supervision of an elderly Bruce Wayne, he fights crime in a harsh, futuristic Gotham. Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Scott soars through the shadowed streets of Gotham as The New Batman. But don't call him a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, he must first overcome her demons, allies, and enemies from his past before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope.

Description of Maxine Gibson (Max Gibson):

A genius high schooler and friend of Terry's. She discovers his secret identity early on in the series, and from then on occasionally helps Batman in an "Alfred"-type role, though she is considered a nuisance to his predecessor (but less so as time went on). Her parents are divorced and she has an unnamed sister.
