Character Description

Jessica Drew, also known as Spider-Woman, is a Marvel Comics character who gained her powers in a unique way: Childhood Born in 1924, Jessica and her parents, Jonathan and Miriam, travel to Mount Wundagore in Transia, where Jonathan conducts genetics research with Dr. Herbert Wyndham. While pregnant with Jessica, Miriam is exposed to radioactive energy from a genome-manipulation machine, which causes radiation poisoning. At age seven, Jessica also becomes terminally ill from uranium poisoning on the property.
