**Unseen** (195 min, R-rated drama) follows two teenage girls trapped in child trafficking from their perspectives, delivering intense, heartbreaking realism. Sophie (10 in flashback) is a bright 5th-grader whose normal life ends abruptly during a family car ride: gunshots kill her parents, the car crashes, and she’s abducted. Seven years later, she’s 17, hardened by repeated exploitation. Parallel, 15-year-old Scarlett lives in a suburban house with her complicit family—mother, father, 17-year-old sister Megan, and 16-year-old brother Lucas. Trafficking is her only reality; she’s routinely sent to “He,” the primary exploiter, who beats and abuses her when she resists. The girls’ paths intersect in the same network. Scarlett’s family continues supplying her, while Sophie is brought to a dinner where clients (Chloe, Dimitri, others) evaluate her. Chris Jewell / Pete (undercover cop) poses as a client, then rescues Sophie at a police station with Officer Townsley. Sophie escapes to safety. Scarlett remains trapped. Her family’s internal conflict peaks when the parents, realizing the horror, commit suicide to free their children.
