Eddie Brock Jr. is a former college student and Peter's childhood friend who after the dead of his dad decided to continued his research, using the two samples of the suit's second stage that he found in his father's cold storage unit that were originally created for Richard Parker's DNA. Initially Eddie's friendship with Peter get to a heartbreaking point and after discovering that he was Spider-Man as well after Peter destroy his sample of the suit, Eddie gain a vendetta to his former best friend by bonding with the unstable version of the suit in order to become Venom.
