Description of Tally Youngblood ((First Book)):

A teen very self-conscious about her looks, given this is a huge focus in her dystopian society. Heavy and tall, with too close together eyes, a flat, big nose, wavy to afro texture hair, thin lips and quite bad skin. Brown skin, but it is never actually described what shade of brown, and also not what her actual ethnicity is. She doesn't notices it herself, but while not being conventionally attractive, she has something endearing and likeable about her. Also quite mischievous.
