After the tragic breakup of Orion Pax (now Optimus Prime) and D-16 (now Megatron), the both of them have fully evolved and now have huge responsibilities of being leaders of their respective teams, with Optimus being the leader of the Autobots, and Megatron being the leader of the Decepticons. In this sequel, we see how these teams' comradery evolves and deepens, between the old and new characters.
