After gaining a new unexpected member, a small team of Autobots and their two human friends led by Hot Rod are looking to prove themselves to the rest of the Autobots that they are more than just a ragtag group of unwanted misfits. The impending war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, alongside the everlooming threat of the anti-transformer human organization UDAAL opens a window of oppertunity for Optimus Prime's apprentice Hot Rod, the speedy rookie Bumblebee, the quiet ninja Prowl, the ex-Decepticon second-in-command primadonna Starscream, the talented but loud rouge detective Zelie Sokolova, and the awkward yet bubbly artist Natsuki Takano to not only show to the rest of the Autobots and humans what they are capable of, but also to themselves.
