A kindhearted and hardworking Autobot medic who happens to be one of Optimus's closest friends. When he inadvertently saves Sam from a Decepticon scout, Ratchet reluctantly becomes his guardian, exposing the Autobots to humanity in the process. Over time, Ratchet grows close to humans, especially to Sam's family.
