Synopsis

Transformers: Cybertron Falls is a 2028 American science fiction action film directed by Neill Blomkamp and produced by Zack Snyder, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by Blomkamp based on Hasbro's Transformers toy line. A co-production between Legendary Pictures and The Stone Quarry, the film is the final installment in the Cybertron Quadrilogy and the direct sequel to Transformers: Space Bridge. It stars an ensemble cast, including Peter Cullen, Sasha Calle, Justin Chatwin, Idris Elba, Jeffrey Combs, Kevin Nash, John Cena, Katherine Waterston, Jamie Foxx, Ron Livingston, Angela Bassett, Sam Elliott, Frank Welker, and Josh Brolin. In the film, a healed Optimus Prime must lead the Autobots into a final stand against the cruel Megatron and the other Decepticons in order to leave Cybertron and save the universe when a powerful new enemy claiming to be Megatron's master emerges and threatens the very safety of all life from beyond. Transformers: Cybertron Falls was released in theaters on January 29th, 2028; grossing $2.52 billion, it was a financial success and became the highest-grossing Transformers film of all time with a budget of over $571 million. The film received universal acclaim, with strong praise for its emotional weight, the action sequences, visuals, story, performances (particularly Cullen, Calle, and Brolin), the darker tone, Hans Zimmer's musical score, direction, and satisfying conclusion of the storyline.

  • misterwolf Plot: The evil Unicorn emerges from the Space Bridge and opens fire towards Cybertron, while Windblade takes a severely injured Optimus Prime to the Autobot ship, the Ark. Field medic Ratchet heals Optimus, allowing the Matrix of Leadership to fully repair his body and replenish his energon.

  • misterwolf Leading an assault, Optimus eventually manages to destroy the Space Bridge's activator, but the portal stays open, and he realizes that is the Autobots' best and last hope. The Decepticon leader and Optimus' rival Megatron corresponds with Unicron, who claims to be his master and agrees to help him wipe out the Autobots, but he is actually scheming to betray and enslave Megatron and destroy the Autobots by himself. When Starscream leads an unauthorized attack on the Ark and defies Megatron's orders again, he is captured by Soundwave and brought before Megatron. Finally having enough of his treacherous behavior, Megatron, combining his arm-blade and cannon, impales and blasts Starscream through his chest and kills him, before naming Soundwave as his new second-in-command. Autobot assassin Cliffjumper is beheaded by Megatron after being caught infiltrating the Decepticon base by Soundwave, but not before discovering a ship built by Megatron using the remnants of Trypticon. Optimus becomes enraged when Megatron sends a holographic message threatening the Autobots and holding Cliffjumper's severed head.

  • misterwolf Autobot weapons specialist Ironhide manages to wipe out the Decepticon Seekers unit with the help of the Wreckers led by Bulkhead and Wheeljack, while scout Bumblebee is given back his voice when Ratchet manages to repair his neck. The Autobots gain the upper hand and destroy the Decepticon base, but most of the Decepticons including Megatron and Sounwave survive and retreat to their ship, calling it the Nemesis. Autobot titan Metroplex sacrifices himself to fuel the Ark with his energon, allowing it to take off with all of the surviving Autobots onboard. Before dying, Metroplex says "Till all are one.", before the Ark leaves Cybertron's atmosphere, though the Nemesis soon follows.

  • misterwolf Heading towards the portal, the Ark is stopped by both the Nemesis and Unicron, and the Autobots and Decepticons engage in a long battle; meanwhile, Optimus and Windblade find a peaceful place to talk. When Optimus asks why she saved him, Windblade reveals that she has no desire to live without her friend, adding that the Autobots have come so far with him as their leader. Autobot RC unit leader Arcee finds Decepticon torturer Airachnid attempting to steal the Ark's main power source, and they both fight, with Arcee eventually overpowering and killing Airachnid, ripping out her spark and destroying it, while Jazz takes a fatal blow from Soundwave's gun meant for Bumblebee, saving him. Windblade kills Soundwave in retaliation and comforts a dying Jazz, who gives her his grapple hook, instructing her to give it to Optimus.

  • misterwolf She gives the grapple hook to Optimus, who promises to carry it in Jazz's honor, while Bumblebee kills Decepticon tracker Barricade. Finally able to board the Nemesis and confront Megatron for a final showdown, Optimus grabs Sentinel Prime's sword and shield, having stored it within the ship, and easily overpowers every Decepticon attacking him. Bulkhead manages to kill Decepticon Crusher unit leader Breakdown, but is soon killed alongside Wheeljack by one of the cannons on the Nemesis, while Ratchet's left arm is seriously damaged; Unicron tries to take over Megatron, but fails through every attempt, with Megatron exclaiming "Megatron is commanded by NO ONE!!!!!!!". Using the grapple hook, Optimus reaches the deck of th Nemesis, and witnesses Megatron destroying Unicron by throwing an energon tank towards him and shooting it, and it turns Unicron's body into a pit of molten lava under the two ships. Optimus unsheathes his sword and shield, and Megatron turns his own arm-blade into a sword and equips his own shield. When Optimus says "One shall stand", Megatron says "And one shall fall!", and the two engage in a fierce holmgang.

  • misterwolf Windblade witnesses the power Allspark falling into Cybertron, and eventually catches it, but decides to wait until Megatron is defeated; however, a big blast from one of the cannons on the Nemesis knocks her unconscious and sends the Allspark flying towards Optimus and Megatron. Finally gaining the upper hand, Optimus defeats Megatron and tries to grab the Allspark, but the gravity of the lava pit causes the Nemesis to shake, and Optimus is forced to kick away the Allspark, sending it back as far away from Cybertron as it will go. He then tries to save Megatron when he dangles off of a ledge on his own ship, but Megatron refuses to accept a Prime's help, and instead allows himself to fall in the pit to his death. As Cybertron begins to rot due to its core succeeding in shutting itself down to survive, the Autobots sever the Nemesis' cables from the Ark, leaving the Nemesis to be evaporated by the pit. Discovering the Solar System on the Ark's main computers, Optimus contacts the planet Earth for a safe refuge; Earth reluctantly agrees and the Ark lands in Jasper, Nevada. Optimus and Windblade vow to revive their fallen comrades "No matter the cost"; before the end credits roll, Optimus narrates "I, am Optimus Prime. And I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars. We are here, we are waiting."

  • misterwolf I hope you all enjoyed, and I'm betting to guess you were all a bit surprised by not only some of the lines and references, but also how Megatron refused, LOL!!!! Like "Wow, Megatron! Not accepting help from even a Prime. That's impressive!". Anyway, I have one more surprise for you all in this story. There's a little Easter Egg line below the film's title, right on the poster. Look at Optimus and Windblade, then look at Windblade's sword, and eventually you'll see it. Good luck!
