Story Plot

Dahlia never meant for any of this to happen. She never meant to fall for her best friend, or for her mom to overdose, or to become an accidental arsonist. But out of everything, the last thing she meant to happen was uncovering supernatural powers she can't control.

    This was so much fun! When I first saw this, I immediately thought of Brian De Palma's The Fury (great movie), which is about psychics being taken by an agency and groomed to be agents (the characters Gordon, Cassavetes, and Grayson all reference the movie). I hope you approve.

    @castingsinmyblood I definently see the similarities! The additions are really cool, I never thought of bringing government into the story, but I actually really love the idea!

    @ethereal Glad to know. Plus, I feel like tonally, it would sort of play into biases of the era, embodying the mentality that certain groups of people are to be ignored until they can give you something you want.

    Other inspirations include Dean Israelite's Power Rangers (hence the director) and Bungou Stray Dogs (the Mother was inspired by the character Koyo Ozaki)

    @castingsinmyblood Nice, Grayson is a really good character to add, I feel like Dahlia would a somewhat opposite to her character for a lot of reasons

    @castingsinmyblood oooh some of the story is based of another anime, devilman crybaby. Dahlia is semi based off Ryos character in the way that he can never truly be a good person because of his fate.
