Mid-1985
After witnessing his parents' murder as a child, billionaire Bruce Wayne spends two decades training his mind and body to become Batman—a terrifying vigilante who strikes fear into Gotham's criminals. But when the maniacal Joker frames him for murder and turns the city against him, Batman must team up with Dick Grayson, a grief-stricken teenage acrobat whose parents were killed by the Clown Prince of Crime. Together, they battle the Joker, the aristocratic Penguin, and the corrupt politician Rupert Thorne, while Bruce struggles to protect the only woman who sees through his masks—Silver St. Cloud. The tragedy of their pasts forges an unlikely partnership: the Dynamic Duo is born.
