Rose DeWitt BukKater (17), a suicidal and her family are travelling in First Class on the RMS Titanic, but life isn't very happy for her. She meets Jack Dawson (20) who convinces her to stay with him and get a better life. However, her bratty fiancee Cal (30) doesn't like the thought of her breaking it off with him and going to date someone from the Third Class. It's now 1996. Rose is now nearing the age of 100. She has married, become a widow, had kids, had grandkids and great grandkids. She has a Pomeranian dog, Freddie, and a pet goldfish. She lives under the care of her granddaughter, Elizabeth (38). She is a good sculptor of clay pots. While sculpting a flower pot, she sees the treasure hunt for the Heart of the Ocean on TV and travels to the RS Keldysh to tell the story of how she got it.
