Happens after "Squadron Supreme". The Squadron Supreme has revealed its true colors and although they stopped Galactus from coming here, they have been declared outlaws by the White House and must flee justice. However, their trace is found by Nick Fury. This one, with his former lover Valentina, decides to send the Thunderbolts, reinforced with important reinforcements, to capture the antiheroes of another world, in the optics to use them later, unofficially for the government.
