When a catastrophic experiment rips open the fabric between worlds, gods, monsters, and legendary beings from every culture are stranded in modern Chicago. Stripped of most of their powers and forced to blend in, they must navigate the harsh realities of human life—until a disillusioned detective with a supernatural secret discovers their existence and becomes the only hope for peace between two worlds on the brink of war. In 2029, a secret government project called "Threshold" accidentally unleashed a dimensional rift, pulling mythological beings from their realms into our world. Now, these displaced entities—gods, monsters, tricksters, and heroes—are trapped in human form, stripped of most of their powers, and forced to survive in a city that has forgotten them. As they struggle with identity, purpose, and the mundane challenges of modern life, a burned-out detective with "thin blood" (mythological ancestry) stumbles onto their secret, setting off a chain of events that could either save or doom both worlds.
